The following illustrates how the financial planning process with COMPASS financial management works.
Preparation
After making an initial appointment clients are sent a list of requirements to bring with them on their initial appointment. This enables us to accurately understand a client's current situation and ensures our recommendations are appropriate. Our advice is based on your objectives.
Initial Appointment
At this appointment we establish why a client is seeking advice and what they expect from us. This leads to the initial discussion on goals. Once initial goals have been identified we complete a fact find on the client's current situation. At the end of the appointment we are able to quote a fee to prepare a plan and clients can make a decision then or at a later time whether they want to proceed.
Plan Preparation
Once a client has decided to proceed we would then formulate a strategy and prepare a financial plan. This is a comprehensive document outlining a client's situation, our recommended strategy, and how to implement that strategy. We also outline what a client's situation might look like if they follow our recommendations.
Plan preparation involves careful consideration of your goals and objectives, research and analysis, strategic recommendations, design of portfolios and investment recommendations.
Plan Presentation
We arrange a suitable time with you to go through your financial plan. At this meeting we agree any required changes, the implementation process and time frame
Implementation
COMPASS financial management prepare and process required paperwork. Investments and insurances are lodged and followed through to completion. Clients are updated throughout the process and online access to records is arranged where required.

This covers ad hoc advice as required as well as a regular review process to update goals and resulting amendments to plans.
